Strengthening Our HPC and AI Expertise

This year’s Computing Insight UK (CIUK) event brought together leaders, innovators and enthusiasts from across the high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) industries. For Boston Limited, it was yet another opportunity to showcase our expertise, connect with the HPC community and explore the latest advancements in computing technology.

For Boston, this was our 9th CIUK in a row, underscoring Boston’s continued commitment to advancing the fields of HPC and AI. It was a chance to reaffirm our role as a trusted partner in delivering innovative solutions and professional services that help organisations achieve their goals.

Innovation at the Forefront: Boston Igloo and NVIDIA Grace Superchip

At this year’s event, attendees stopped by to learn about our latest innovations. Two standout solutions took centre stage:

  • Boston Igloo: This advanced storage solution was a major draw for visitors seeking cutting-edge tools to manage AI and data-intensive workloads. Designed with scalability and efficiency in mind, the Boston Igloo is an ideal choice for organisations looking to optimise their data pipelines and enhance performance.

  • NVIDIA Grace Superchip: People stopping by the booth were particularly excited to see the NVIDIA Grace in action. As one of the most powerful tools for compute-intensive tasks, the Grace Superchip is revolutionising AI-driven HPC environments, making it an essential part of the conversation for researchers and enterprises alike.

Empowering Talent Through Training

A key focus of our presence at CIUK 2024 was promoting our NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) training. As an NVIDIA DLI training partner, Boston offers a range of hands-on courses designed to equip professionals with practical skills in AI and accelerated computing.

From mastering frameworks like TensorFlow to implementing GPU computing techniques, these training programs empower organisations to unlock the full potential of AI. For many visitors, this offering represented an exciting opportunity to future-proof their teams and keep pace with rapidly evolving technologies.

Our training expertise ties into a broader theme at CIUK: the importance of building a skilled and knowledgeable workforce to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. It’s something we’re deeply passionate about at Boston, and we were delighted to share these opportunities with attendees.

SuperPOD Accreditation: Driving AI Factories

We were also thrilled to announce Boston Limited’s recent accreditation as an NVIDIA SuperPOD Specialist. This designation positions us as a key partner for organisations looking to build their own AI Factories. With our expertise, we help customers design and deploy scalable AI infrastructure tailored to their unique needs, enabling them to harness the power of AI at scale.

The news of this accreditation was met with enthusiasm, sparking conversations about how Boston can support organisations in pushing the boundaries of AI and HPC.

The Cluster Challenge: Fostering Innovation

One of the standout moments of CIUK 2024 was the Cluster Challenge, an exciting competition where teams showcased their creativity, technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Participants worked to design and deploy efficient computing clusters, demonstrating their ability to tackle real-world challenges.

The energy and innovation on display during the competition were truly inspiring. Events like these highlight the next generation of HPC talent, and Boston is proud to support such initiatives that foster collaboration and drive the industry forward.

Professional Services

Throughout the event, we had many valuable conversations about our range of professional services. From onsite warranty support to hardware lifecycle management and managed services, our offerings are designed to provide peace of mind and ensure that our customers can focus on achieving their goals.

By providing tailored support and expertise, Boston Limited continues to be a trusted partner for organisations navigating the complexities of HPC and AI.

Weathering the Storm

CIUK 2024 wasn’t without its challenges—most notably, the stormy weather that greeted attendees. With rain and wind threatening to disrupt travel plans and the event itself, it was a testament to the resilience of everyone involved that the conference continued as planned.

For Boston, the storm served as a metaphor for our approach to challenges in the industry: no matter the obstacles, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering excellence. Rain or shine, we engaged in meaningful conversations, shared insights and showcased the best of what we have to offer.

As we reflect on another successful CIUK, we’re inspired by the energy, innovation and collaboration that defined this year’s event. From showcasing groundbreaking technologies to fostering connections with industry leaders, CIUK 2024 was a testament to the strength and vibrancy of the HPC and AI community.

We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, joined the conversations, and contributed to making this year’s event so memorable. Boston is proud to be a part of this community!

Thank you, CIUK 2024 - we’ll see you again next year!
