The Boston Value Series 121 is Boston's latest 1U short-depth server solution and the first to feature the new generation Xeon® E3-1200 v3 CPU's by Intel®.
Based on the 22nm Haswell microarchitecture, the latest range of Xeon E3-1200 v3 CPUs are the successor to the Ivy Bridge-based Xeon E3-1200 v2 processors. The 4-core Xeon E3-1280 v3 included in the Boston Value Series 121 has a standard frequency of 3.6GHz, with turbo boost enabling clock-speeds of 4.0GHz and comes with a generous 8 MB L3 cache. The Supermicro UP motherboard, features the latest Intel® C224 PCH Express Chipset with integrated Dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and support for Up to 32GB DDR3 ECC 1600MHz UDIMMs in 4 sockets. Power efficiency is not sacrificed due to DDR3L (1.5v) support, LV CPU SKUs, digital platinum level high-efficiency power supplies, and application optimized cooling.
With a built-in 400W high-efficiency redundant power supply, 4 hot-swappable 3.5” SATA drive bays for maximum storage capacity, and 4 high-efficiency fans, the VS 121 is an ideal uniprocessor server for cost-effective, efficient and quiet computing.
