The Supermicro A+ Server AS-2124BT-HTR (BigTwin) consists of four hot-pluggable nodes in a 2U form factor for high density computing. The server features New 3rd Gen AMD EPYC Processors which are the first x86 server processors featuring 7nm hybrid-multi-die design and PCIe Gen4.

The Supermicro A+ Server AS-2124BT-HTR (BigTwin™) consists of four hot-pluggable nodes in a 2U form factor for high density computing. The server features New 3rd Gen AMD EPYC™ Processors featuring 7nm hybrid-multi-die design and PCIe® Gen4. Supermicro's new generation A+ solutions supporting AMD EPYC™ enable a new range of powerful and energy-efficient server options to radically lower data centre TCO through an optimized balance of compute, memory, I/O, and storage resources.

This server is optimised for the following applications and workloads:

  • Compute Intensive Applications
  • HPC, Data Cent, Enterprise Server
  • Hyperscale / Hyperconverged

Supermicro say: "For TPC-DS benchmarks, a new world record was achieved with the H12 BigTwin™ that established the highest performance and lowest performance per dollar for a 10TB database with 64% higher QphDS throughput (Composite Query per Hour Metric) and $0.05 savings per QphDS over the previous world record holders."
