The Boston VS 362 G8 is a power efficient and scalable 1U rackmount server solution supporting up to two of Intel®’s next generation 12-core Xeon® E5-2600 V2 series processors. These new CPU’s enable significant performance improvements over the last generation through a higher core count (12 cores vs. 8), faster memory bus (1866 MHz from 1600MHz) as well as increased virtualization performance through APIC Virtualization.
The VS 362 G8, based on the X9DRW-iF motherboard by Supermicro, is a 1U server designed to reliably offer high levels of performance at increased levels of efficiency. Ideal for minimal downtime enterprise deployment, the Boston VS 362 G8 meets today's datacenter challenges in a flexible and compact package.
With support of up to 512GB DDR3 ECC 1866MHz Registered memory the VS 362 G8 offers improved workload performance and enhanced reliability while preventing data loss and downtime. Data protection is built in, with support for RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configurations giving you peace of mind. Additional features include support for 2 x16 PCI-E 3.0 full-height and 1 x8 PCI-E 3.0 low profile cards and scope for numerous storage configurations up to 4TB.
