Based on Supermicro’s legendary BigTwin architecture, this latest Boston Quattro boasts support for Intel’s latest, 3rd Generation Xeon Scalable processors, providing the best CPU performance Intel have to offer along with updated features one would naturally expect from a Boston Quattro system.
Leveraging expansion options from this latest CPU architecture (formerly known as ‘Ice Lake’), the Boston Quattro offers dual PCIe x16 Gen 4.0 slots, up to 6 x U.2 NVMe Gen 4.0, 2 x M.2 Gen 4.0 sockets and OCP 3.0 compliant networking options, per node.
Management is handled by a new generation of BMC coupled with a dedicated hardware ‘Root of Trust’, ensuring reliable and secure operation, maintenance and upgrades. A variety of software options for management exist as well as standard, secure access using OpenBMC, IPMI and/or Redfish.
