Supermicro, Red Hat and Solarflare Set World Record Performance for Financial Institutions

As we reach the end of the third quarter– some of the biggest brands in the industry are setting world records creating leaps for financial institutions.

A global leader in enterprise computing, storage and networking solutions, Supermicro® along with Red Hat® (providing opensource products) and Solarflare® (delivering comprehensive integrated set of technologies software defined datacentres announced) create a new world record for low latency on the well-known STAC-N1 benchmark from STAC (the Securities Technology Analysis Centre) for the world's leading financial institutions.  

Measuring the performance of a host network stack using market data style workload, the STAC-N1 demonstrated significant benchmarks. Performed on a pair of Supermicro® SYS-1029+UX-LL1-16 servers, with dual 8-core Intel® Xeon Scalable 6144 Gold processors overclocked 4.18GHz. In addition, the servers include Red Hat’s Red Hat Enterprise® Linux 7.5 operating system and Solar flare X2522 Adapters. The system demonstrated the lowest mean latency of 2.3 microseconds at both the base rate (100k messages per second and high rate (1 million mps).
