Mellanox and Supermicro Collaborate to Showcase Cloud-X Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

Posted on 22 May, 2015

Mellanox and Supermicro have announced a hyper-converged OpenStack cloud-in-a-rack solution based on Mellanox CloudX™ at this year’s OpenStack Summit in Vancouver.  Using Mellanox OpenCloud architecture, CloudX™ helps you to deliver an efficient cloud platform using off-the-shelf building blocks. It can be designed as an open-source environment, enabling the installation, provisioning, diagnostics and maintenance of the cloud in the data centre.

As well as reducing the cost of using a compute and storage infrastructure, CloudX™ enables applications to use much more data in real time to achieve results earlier, allowing for faster decisions.  Built around the fastest interconnect technology of 40 and 56Gb/s Infiniband and Ethernet, CloudX™ provides the fastest data transfer and effective utilisation of compute, storage and flash components.

There are multiple benefits when adopting CloudX™ as the reference architecture for your cloud infrastructure.  Boston Limited have championed the technology for some time exploring the safety of Cloud computing as well as the improved compute and storage infrastructure efficiency.

However if you’re still not convinced of the benefits, why not test Boston’s VScaler range of OpenStack hardware, courtesy of Boston LabsGet in touch with our technically trained representatives to discuss your cloud needs and how CloudX™ could help you and your business!
