Boston brings a broad range of solutions to CeBit 2015, stand #D66

Posted on 16 March, 2015

It's that time again, as 3,400 participating companies from 70 countries all with innovative products and digital solutions prepare to meet in Hannover, Germany for CeBit 2015.

Boston Limited in partnership with NVIDIA & Supermicro, will showcase the Boston Venom 2100-06 GRID. Together they have developed a range of high performance Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) server platforms optimised for 3D professional graphics applications. Boston's NVIDIA GRID Technology-based solutions are fully validated to provide rich graphics in virtualised environments and support the best virtualisation software from Citrix?, VMware? and Microsoft.

We will also have the Boston Venom 3400-7T on our CeBit booth, this system is designed to be a compact yet powerful workhorse for all design, VFX and digital content professionals. The Venom 3400-7T is a workstation designed by Boston that brings together the often disjointed design and simulation processes into one package; dramatically increasing productivity and allowing engineers, designers and content creators to do more, faster, and with better results.

Mellanox will join us on booth D66 with an example of their InfiniBand Switch Systems, delivering the highest performance and port density with a complete fabric management solution. This enables compute clusters and converged data centres the ability to operate at any scale while reducing operational costs and infrastructure complexity. We will also display parts from the End-to-End Ethernet Connectivity Bundle at this year's event.

In partnership with Avago at this year's CeBit Boston will also showcase the Igloo Syncro, this series is a redundant yet simple to administer Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 cluster comprised of two Boston Igloo servers featuring the latest Intel E5-2600 v3 processors. The solution uses two LSI Syncro? controller cards to create high availability direct-attached storage as an alternative to traditional Fibre Channel or iSCSI shared storage arrays.

Boston Limited will have on display the Microblade, with 112 independent microserver nodes, MicroBlade offer powerful, efficient and cost effective dedicated nodes for clients who have concerns operating in multi-tenant environments. Because of the extreme density of MicroBlade, both single tenant and multi-tenant configurations are possible in the same enclosure without the traditional space penalty, make sure you pass by the booth for a look at this yourself.

We will be joined by partners AMI this year with a storage solution on display featuring the StorTrends 3500i. StorTrends 3500i is built for performance and reliability offering enterprise-class features in an all-inclusive package. StorTrends iTX 2.8 is preinstalled on the StorTrends 3500i array and includes features such as intelligent application aware snapshots, auto data tiering, WAN optimized replication, disaster recovery, an intuitive GUI interface, and VMware vSphere Plugin for ease of management.

Don't forget we will also be on our partner Supermicro's booth right around the corner from us on Stand D52, Hall 2. They'll be demonstrating their latest hardware innovations and offering a detailed look into what makes their products the top choice for many businesses and we will have the Boston vScaler on show.

Make sure you come and visit us on booth #D66 for a coffee and a chat at this year's CeBit.
